Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is an adjuvant therapy as a treatment for both FDA approved and off label conditions. Although it cannot take the place of conventional treatments, studies have shown HBOT to be highly beneficial for patient outcomes when used in conjunction with traditional modalities.

Information to know:

Life Without Blood Study

-HBOT effectiveness: In a famous “Life Without Blood” experiment in 1960, Dr. Ite Boerema demonstrated that hyperbaric oxygen alone kept exsanguinated pigs alive in the absence of hemoglobin.

How can we help your patients?

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
What the science says about HBOT
Services we offer

– Neurocatch: Similar to an EEG, Neurocatch is an FDA approved medical device which establishes a baseline level of cognitive function for neurological disorders, such as Traumatic Brain Injuries, concussive blasts, dementia, and mental health conditions such as PTSD. This device, utilized at periodic visits, allows our physicians to objectively trend improvements at the point of care and detect changes in cognitive functions in conjunction with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

Snapshot is an FDA approved medical device which measures tissue oxygen saturation and hemoglobin levels. This specialized near infrared spectrum camera is the most advanced technology in wound care treatment, and provides baseline tissue oxygenation levels at the point of care as well as tracks improvement over periodic visits.

– Research: Coastal HyperbaRx is passionate about bringing safe, non-invasive, therapies to those who could benefit most but whose conditions are not yet FDA approved. To accomplish this goal, more research is required. We are currently working in conjunction with physicians, both on a local and national level, to provide rigorous, standardized studies that could further the goals of bringing life-changing treatments to those in need. To learn more, or if you are interested in referring patients to these studies, please contact PatientServices@CoastalHBOT.com.
